WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Inside the gates of the Big E, visitors will find hundreds of vendors, most selling handcrafted items. From home decor to clothing to children’s toys, a wide range of treasures can be found.
Visitors can find a number of shopping options along the avenue of state buildings, the Young Building, the Better Living Center, craft vendors, and outdoor exhibits.
Better Living Center vendors tell 22News what they love most about displaying their wares at the Big E. Infinity Lights Tyler Martin says, “It’s so much fun, you know you can come to the fair every days, just meeting nice people. .” For Martin, it’s his tenth year at the Big E, but he’s been selling these light-up creations across the country.
While Leather Outlet owner Scott Griffiths of Stowe, Vermont returns for his 15th year. “It feels good, it looks like everyone is back to normal,” Griffith said. “I like to see that they like what they buy from us.”
Christian Johnson from Minnesota is representing Funny Gears for its first year at the fair. The company itself has been at the Big E for over 26 years. “We’re just here to have fun and sell toys, make the kids happy, it’s a fun time,” Johnson said.
As the fair continues to attract thousands of visitors, vendors continue to build excitement and help them find the items they love. It’s a good idea to bring cash with you when shopping at any vendor tent, as most vendors only accept cash. The 17-day fair is scheduled to end on Sunday, October 2.
