The U.S. population between 2019 and 2020 grew at the lowest rate in 120 years, just 0.35%, according to the US Census Bureau. But weak population growth hasn’t stopped many people from relocating, as the western and southern states have seen population inflows while California and New York have seen the biggest declines.

Stacker compiled a list of the states that send the most people to Tennessee using data from the United States Census Bureau. States are ranked based on the number of people who left the state for Tennessee in 2019.
