Report: Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Oskar Autio to move to Vermont

After four years at Happy Valley, Penn State men’s hockey goaltender Oskar Autio will move to Vermont for the upcoming season, according to college hockey reporter Brad Elliott Schlossman.

Autoo’s reported transfer comes after he lost Nittany Lions starting goalie gig to Liam Souliere, who anchored Penn State between the pipes throughout the run of this season’s Big Ten tournament.

Autio, a native of Espoo, Finland, played 49 games during his career with Penn State, including 23 matchups in the 2021-22 season. This winter, Autio posted an .893 save percentage, just below the .897 average he averaged throughout his career with the Nittany Lions.
