Patricia “Patty” Boyer – Pioneer of Bemidji


Patricia “Patty” Luella Boyer, 79, of Bemidji, MN died Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.

Patty was born in Bemidji, daughter of Roy “Pat” and Donna (Ritchie) Boyer. She grew up in the community of South Lake Irving and attended Central Elementary School part-time. She liked visiting people. Patty enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She especially loved her family and friends, taking many picnics, fishing trips, and camping trips. Patty also participated in many fun times and get-togethers with neighbors and relatives in South Lake Irving. Patty was affiliated with the Bemidji United Methodist Church. She was baptized and attended Sunday school in the 1940s-1950s. She had a very strong faith. Patty was a resident at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji for several years. She excelled at BINGO, knew everyone and always participated in all music-related events. The exceptional care Havenwood provided to Patty was greatly appreciated by her family.

Patty has two brothers, John (Colleen) of Missoula, MT and Don (Lori) of Bellingham, WA. She also has a niece living in Montana and a nephew in Florida as well as numerous cousins ​​living in various states. She was predeceased by her parents, four grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, MN under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji at a later date. Condolences can be left at
