Tennessee isn’t the first team to land a commitment from Jefferson, as the Minnesota Preparatory Academy product committed to Tulsa on Aug. 7, 2021 before opting out on March 13.

Although Jefferson is originally from Texas, he played ball in high school in Minnesota, having a strong senior season that saw him rise through the recruiting ranks.
